Anemone “expanding” after being in the tank for a day?

I picked up a BTA yesterday for the first time. I’ve noticed it seems to have spread out a lot more since yesterday when I added it. Is this the normal expand / contract cycle they go through, or potentially a signal it’s unhappy?

edit to add - in the pic from day 1 the corals are all closed. This is because I changed out some water (and dumped the new water on them) while the anemone temperature acclimated; I needed water to dip some corals I purchased.

normal, they will bubble, extend, become balls, disappear, reappear. This can all happen in a day.. It will move to it's happyplace, not yours

That looks happy, expand, contract, bigger, smaller, all good..

Thanks! I read about them expanding and contracting and how in some cases it does indicate poor water quality. Just wanted to be sure this wasn’t it.

stable parameters are key. And yes they are the first to tell me if my parameters are off.

Contracting, and staying that way may indicate poor water chemistry
Expanded....always happy...
