Anybody have any idea what this is I discovered it in my sump while doing a water change and filter change

Any idea what this is in my sump. Is it something I should be worried about a possible parasite that could harm my fish. It's a fish only live rock aquarium. Thank you

Looks like a piece of plastic to me. It didn't really change shape.

+1 looks like plastic. I would remove it and take a photo in a cup or on a paper towel for better ID if it is not plastic.

Don't feel that way. Plastics are reported to kill seabirds and turtles by the millions each year.!
