Just got a new frag and this little creature dropped off when I took it out of the bag. The frags aren’t in my tank yet.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Okay. I also reached out to the place I got the frags from and asked them. No response from them yet.

Oh and some of his feathers came off because I used a pipet to get it out of the water

Have a look at it under actinic, will probably be flourecent. Inspect the frag for more of these and eggs. Google nudibranch eggs

what kind of coral did it come off of a Mpontipora or a Zoanthid? Either way, I personally would not put that coral into my tank.

Yeah, definitely look for eggs with a magnifying glass. I would dip and QT that one for a while. Someone posted an excellent close up pic of what the eggs look like the other day. Wish I would have saved it, or bookmarked the thread now.

If the frags not expensive just toss it, definitely let the vendor know. If you really want to keep the frag at least pull it from the plug and toss the plug then come back in 3 days and dip the frag again.

Oh and it came in on the bottom of a zoa frag. It wasn’t on the coral itself, just hanging out on the bottom of the actual plug.

Also found this in the same bag. Not sure if it is just aquarium goobers or possibly an egg case?

Alright so I don’t think I got all the little monsters. Unless my zoa detached itself from the frag rock I have nudibranchs in the tank.

As far as treatment I’m looking into the fish but also looking at flatworm exit. Any help with this stuff would be appreciated.

Good to know. Thanks! Would I just follow the instructions on the package or would I google them?
