for aiptasia, u put them in its own tank, then u can slowly and gently tap the aiptasia for it to get stressed and poop out eggs, idk what to do from thereHey just grabbed a few from a member on here thank you
Quick question how do you breed aptasia?
Got it! Thank you man!for aiptasia, u put them in its own tank, then u can slowly and gently tap the aiptasia for it to get stressed and poop out eggs, idk what to do from there
I once tried to get aptasia to multiply for an experiment to test rates of propagation via pedal laceration. It wasn't super scientific, but my big takeaway is if you find the right type of aptasia, they'll grow faster then anything else you can manually do to increase their growth rate (heavy feeding, cutting off their tentacles, stressing the system, etc.). You might want to try and collect a bunch of different specimens- most tend to be pretty "docile" and will grow large and stay put, but a couple of the specimens I got seemed to have a doubling time of 4-7 days!Got it! Thank you man!
Where would I go about collecting aptasia?found this

I asked a LFS and they were scared to touch the aptasia to give me because he’s scared that it would spread
Any ideas?
Also why is it if it’s in your tank it seems to multiply by seconds but if you’re trying to breed it, ur seems to take decades lol!
