What type of acid will be best for cleaning hard water stains/ lime scale from the top of my aquarium? I’ve tried vinegar multiple times and it’s worked to an extent but it’s time for some harsher chemicals. Sulfuric? Muratic? Hydro? Thanks

Very carefully. I pour a few tablespoons into a cup of rodi and use a magic eraser to clean hardwater scale from our tub. It burns concrete if it splashes. Best practices include eye protection and thick chemical proof gloves with plenty of ventilation to provide positive fresh airflow to clear the working space. Keep baking soda nearby for emergencies.

Those water stain rings don’t come off! I tried multiple methods and cleaners and plenty of elbow grease. Nothing got it off! The ring is somehow etched into the glass.

Solution - just leave it. Found when the tank is filled with water, you won’t notice it. Here is a pic of my waterline with the tank filled. Can’t see the ring anymore.

I honestly thought this was the case considering it lightens when wet but man I’m just super OCD lol

I tried everything and nothing worked! Even tried 400 grit sandpaper to polish out. Even that did not work.
