Hi all,
I have had my blue shuriken for about a month now and the polyps are moving all over the frag plug?!?!
Are these guys supposed to be on the sand bed or something because i am at a loss...
I have had polyps stretch and separate from the mother before but this guys started out in the center of the plug and are now working their way over the edge of the plug
Any info you could provide would be awesome

that's interesting. they're moving for you? they haven't moved on me yet. how much flow does yours get? mines gets a lot of indirect flow. it seems they are like snake polyps with the exception they open in light. i haven't seen any growth in 6 months for these. they might require direct feeding which i haven't done w/ them.

My center polyp has pulled away from the other 2 and gone completely over the side of the plug but it did leave a new head in its place. I have never researched snake polyps so i will go do this now.
They do love being spot feed cyclo and small pieces of mysis

Also found out today that while they do like the high light of my 150 Watt 14K sunpod over my 10AGA prop tank they want to be located on the bottom rack which is why they stopped opening.
moved then and bang opened rite up.
Since my purchase of them last month i have noticed 2 new polyps

Jeremy,

hehe thats was my first impression also. The blue shurikens are hard like snake polyps. The adult polyps get fairly large too..
