I noticed today my salinity was 1.029 really high on 10 gallon reef tank. What can I do. Any suggestions. I know by adding water . How little should I add?

ThanksI'm no pro, but have a similar setup and had this happen before too (because I was adding saltwater to make up for evaporation)..
I would just start with like a gallon (or less if you are worried) and check it in a few hours. Still high try maybe a 1/2 gallon.
Good luck!

It has corals . And inverts . Snails . I tested multiple times. It’s accurate. What's in the tank and how does it look?
How do the animals look? Is anything looking stressed? Go slow bringing it down. I would start with 1/4 to 1/2 a gallon a day of R/O water. It has corals . And inverts . Snails . I tested multiple times. It’s accurate.

All corals look fine . Inverts seem brothered
Refractometer .
That is really odd. Did you replace evaporation with saltwater by accident? This is why nano's are hard to do!All corals look fine . Inverts seem brothered I check salinity everyday. I check yesterday and it was at 1.026 . I don’t want cause the spike
yes I did . I mix new saltwater today. That water read at 1.026 . When I test water from tank it reads 1.028 now since I add Rodi waterDid you calibrate it to make sure it is accurate?
You need to calibrate against a known solution. There are several on the market. If you don't have that on hand you can calibrate off of RODI at 1.000.

Unlikely, just go slow lowering itI have the solution. Didn’t need to calibrate. Are my inverts going to die ?
