FOODS & FEEDING: Feeds on a varied diet or marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, and frozen preparations. Should be fed a minimum of 3 times per day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY: With caution. Will feed on Large polyped stony corals, tubeworms, and aiptasia anemones.
CAPTIVE CARE: The Burgess Butterfly can be kept with caution in an aquarium containing mushroom anemones, some soft corals (Litophyton spp., Cladiella spp.), and small polyped stony corals. It is a deep water species, but acclimates well to captivity and will feed on a variety of captive foods (flake, varied enriched diet). They are not aggressive to other fish and more than one can be housed in same tank. This species does best when housed in a dimly lit tank.
