anyways as tital say's i sunk my old cam but i got to buy a new one lol so i bought a cannon powershot A630 any advice on using to take macro shots that the instructions wont say.

That camera has a macro setting on it doesn't it?

It should have a macro setting on it. Mine is a 610 and there is a flower/MF under the function setting.

I am on my second Canon A630 because I dropped the first one in the tank too. The wrist thing just helped me get out of water in hurry, but it was too late. It was Christmas present from my wife so I had to quickly go out purchase a replacement.

This camera is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. The flower setting and a steady hand are the keys to macros. I started out using the auto functions and then messed around with manual functions from there. Take lots of pictures and they will keep getting better.

thanks ive ben playing with the macro setting its working well only thing the bugs me is the pic's seem more intense then natural color for me that could be a bad thing when i sell somthing.

Pictures are looking good. You have a very nice collection. If you are selling them just give a picture with and without flash. Most people should get a good idea from that. Plus, with the collection you are building, no one should really doubt how good it will look in their tank.
