Hey everybody so I tried to get rid of this Cyanobacteria for a while now but it just keeps coming back I added an extra gyre, used Chemiclean and removed it manually what else can I do? My nitrates are 20-25 and Phosphate 0.25 could this be the problem if so how do I go about fixing it?

Thank you for pics. I see Cyano and I also see a calcareous organism similar to coraline known as Lithothamnions.
Lithothamnions is what will not blow off rock but best left to a tuxedo urchin or two as well as Ninja star snails. For cyano, reduce white light intensity or even turn them off for 5-7 days. Add liquid bacteria daily for a week during the day at 1.5ml per 10 gallons. Add Hydrogen peroxide at night at 1ml per 10 gallons. Add a pouch of chemipure Elite which will balance phos and nitrate and keep them in check.

After the week, add a few snails such as cerith, margarita, astrea and nassarius plus 6-8 blue leg hermits to take control.

Should I turn off my protein skimmer?

Ok…what about water changes? How many can I do to bring the nitrate and phosphate down? Or should I let the Chemipure handle that
While it may be extreme, you can literally do daily or every other day and siphon any dino while reducing po4 and no3
I have had high success with chemipure blue in phos reduction

Doesn't look to bad. Search for @Sunny post using calcium carbonate and MB7 to clear tank water and eliminate cyano. Works great for me.
Found the post for those looking!
