Can anyone please help me identify the pink finger-like growth on my lps skeletons. They are stationary, but seem to be increasing in number.

The last picture is out of focus, but there are multiple small versions of the pink growth all along the base of the skeleton. Secondly, I assume that the white/gray flat thing in the first picture is a harmless chitin of some sort

Looks like a sponge. If it looks like it is taking over or irritating your coral take it out and scrape it off in a container with some of your aquarium water.

Do a search on the forum here for benthic foraminiferans and see if they’re a match for what you have (they’re harmless if that’s what you have).

Yeah, that’s a chiton, and it’s likely harmless/beneficial.
