Question. I have a chalice coral that died off all but 2 eyes months ago. Those 2 eyes have been resilient. My question is, wouls it be best to cut away the old dead skeleton? Curious if it would grown better new skeleton or over old.

Sometimes that will work out, but often the new life will form a new plate above the old one that isn't attached. I think it depends on the water flow, light, and the corals always do what they want. IF the old skelton is huge I often cut away the old so it doesn't grow algae that might interfere with the new growth. Glad you have a few eyes still holding on to life.
