Hello.

I ordered some new fish that were shipped on Friday to be delivered on Sat but UPS messed up and it was delayed in shipping until Monday. The Coral Beauty had white stuff on its mouth, which looked like damage was taken and i am sure the stress did not help out any. The mouth healed up in 2 days, but then the day after that it's eyes started looking like it had pop eye. Every day it looks to be slightly worse, but other than the pop eye it looks to be getting use its new home and eating fine.

I do not have a quarantine tank or any medications. i am wondering what I should be looking for and/or how to treat him. thank you.

Looks like mechanical/physical injury against object and should be treated with Maracyn aka Maracyn 1 which is ethromyacin for 5 days

Thank you. is this it? Can I add it to my display tank directly? I do not have a quarantine tank.
This will likely not work - you want this below or even seachem neoplex

Poor fish was in the shipping box a long time, I’m surprised it survived!
Eating well is a very good sign though.

Jay

p.s. - avoid Saturday arrivals, they are always risky.

Update on my situation. The Coral beauty died that same night before I could even order the medicine. The next day my Royal Gramma Died. was eating well the day previous and then just started acting different, stayed on bottom and hiding and then died. I inspected each fish after death and saw nothing unusual, no spots or discoloration, no loss of fins ect..

My question is should I treat my tank with some all purpose antibiotic or what should i do to help the rest of my fish from getting whatever came from the new fish i added when they arrived 2 days late in the mail. i do not have a quarantine tank so no way of taking anything out.

Thanks
Ritchie

Sorry to hear. something is obvious if theyre dying one after another often disease or else water related.
Cant say there is an all purpose. Ruby Rally Pro covers an array of issues as does General cure but My suggestion is a Fallow period with No fish for 4-5 weeks and water change. In the mean time you Can acquire fish and quarantine them during fallow so they are ready for their new permanent home

If the rest of your fish are symptom free, I wouldn't try to treat your whole tank. The issue may have been specific to the coral beauty itself.
