A crap algae bed that’s never functioned properly, up to this point I think the constant use of gfo and the amount of rock in the tank has helped,

Here’s what it looked like a couple of days ago before the clean

I have fresh cheato coming today, I have complete cleaned the algae bed, changing the light to a cfl bulb 140watt and 6200k running reverse cycle.

Readings last night were nitrate 2.5ppm phos 0.012ppm but I have been dosing nopox
Great tank mate but i would personally clean out completely the area where you are putting your new cheato in.

Few things have changed, have cleaned the sump out entirely and I have also installed a D&D Clarisea, im hoping this will take the detritius out of the water column and stop it from falling into the refuge.

Well what can I say,

Its been a while since I have updated the thread,

Few things have changed, I have rescaped the whole left hand side, and im now in the process of doing some more rescaping to the middle.

Pulled some corals out to make way for new ones, completely changed the lighting so I will try and give u an update.

  1. Swapped the evergrow out for 3 radion xr30 G3 pros with diffusers,

2. added a doser to the mix to help the trace elements

3. This is what has been keeping me busy and leaving the display tank to do its thing..

4. Got some new sweet coral at a local swap meet ...
