Customer Service Representative

Current USA, Inc. is seeking a full-time customer service representative to contribute to and support the customer service functions for two sister pet industry organizations. We are an aquarium lighting firm specializing in innovative new products with an emphasis on LED lighting design and innovation. The ideal applicant has a very strong functional understanding of / experience in the aquatic product and hobby arena. In addition, the customer service representative must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication. The customer service representative must love talking with people and be a good and patient problem solver. In addition, the ideal applicant must have good computer/technology skills and an ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
Answer all incoming phone calls to general and customer service line and return voicemails
Check, answer or forward general incoming general and customer service emails
Answer all warranty inquiries through phone, fax, email, zendesk (customer support ticket system)
Process and resolve all customer service / warranty matters through to completion in a professional and timely manner
Participate in regular product training and proactively learn the inner workings / features of our complete product lines
Participate in company policies and procedures training and follow as it relates to customer service, warranty and returns
Work collaboratively with Director of Administration (and other staff) to develop comprehensive and user friendly customer service manual

Requirements
Associates Degree strongly preferred
3+ years’ experience in customer service required
Strong aquatic product and hobby knowledge required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and usage of internet
Ability to work independently, work well and communicate with others in a multi-functional, fast paced environment
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and work product quality
Ability to meet goals and scheduled timelines
Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
Resourcefulness and capacity to create solutions
Reliable and committed to company’s success

$14 - $15/Hour DOE
Company paid vacation benefits and insurance benefits (including the option for health and dental insurance) are offered after 90-day introductory employment period

This is a non-exempt position
This is a position for on-site work in our offices only. No telecommuting or off-site applicants will be considered
