Cycling and skimming?

Today is day 6 of my cycle. I am doing a fish less cycle with bottled bacteria and dosing Dr Tim’s ammonia. I know they say not to run your skimmer for 48hr after adding bacteria and starting cycle. Should I be running the skimmer now? Wait until the tank is cycled? I’m not sure what it would skim out to be honest I just want to see it in action lol

In no way will skimming affect any aspect of your cycle time completion compared to unskimmed tanks. It's boosted oxygenation to a group of hungry aerobes is beneficial

Some colonies are skimmed and then two million colonies are not :) and they grab onto rocks and do what they do
