Had extremely bad dinos in my tank couldn’t get rid of them I scrapped and scrapped weekly, did blackouts. Finally caved and bought Dino-x. Stunned by the results. It does look like it Orestes some corals but nothing major, my tuxedo urchin also seems slow and sluggish since I added, he may not make it. This was a 3 1/2 week treatment 11ml every other day 60 gallon tank. Removing with carbon and water changes now.

Glad to hear you beat them. Curious about a couple things. Did you get an ID on what type of Dinos you had (with a microscope) and what other methods did you try before Dino-x

no i didnt ID them, they were snotty looking and a tannish brown with bubbles in them. They spread on everything from the gyre to the rock sand and corals. As i said i scrapped them off the rocks weekly while sucking the remains out for water changes and did two black outs for 36hours.

IMO IDing the Dinos is what everyone says and its getting annoying. Treatments are about the same and you dont need a microscope. Only realized that after buying one and having useless advice after IDing them.... Dealt with dinos twice so far, 2nd time was with 20ppm nitrate and 0.04 phosphate and was the ostreopsis kind both times.

Did the dinos come back since march? What kind of corals did you lose? I'm only here to find out peoples experience with dino x in case i decide to go that path if dinos ever come back

Glad to see your success. I just defeated dinos myself but I’ve heard that water changes can help dinos how long did you wait afterwards?
