Hi All,

I recently (~4mos ago) set up a nano macro algae tank (10g) where my intention is to have it be pretty natural by which I mean not being too picky about hitchhikers and kind of just letting whatever will grow in there go. So far I have been pretty pleased with the results

The issue is I have started to develop some brown/green hair algae and what I think are Dinos, which I'd like to get under control

What I am struggling with is the best way to deal with these without impacting the macro algaes that I do want to flourish. I've read through a bunch of the threads on dealing with a Dino's and it seem like dosing Phos and Nitrate might be the answer but wondering if that could have a knock on effect of fueling other nuisance algaes?

Also, I had some Caulerpa in there that went sexual while I was out of town for a few days so I'm running filter floss to try to clear up the spores. What else should I be doing?

Here are my Params over the last month

I started with Live Rock and Sand so was able to skip the cycle.

It seems more like Cyanobacteria, add some nitrates and phosphates, it was most likely caused by the caleurpa melting.
Looking through a microscope should help properly identifying

Okay I’ll give that a try. Any particular brand you like for additives?
Sodium or calcium nitrate are safe choices, for phosphates neophos off the shelf is fine, it’s the products containing nitrogen that could make it worse.
