They are about 4 mm in diameter with white specs in the middle of each.

Personally, it looks like a dove snail (Columbellidae sp.). These are rare hitchhikers, good algae grazers, and reproduce quickly. Their small size also allows them to reach areas larger snails cannot. As they multiply, you could try to sell them since they are pretty popular. Sometimes misidentified as Strombus maculatus (now Maculastrombus maculatus).

White specs are the developing snails which will cut circular holes in the egg cases when they are done developing.
