Experience with Aquabeams 600/1000 ultras?

Im looking to put led fixtures on my tank and came across the aquabeams. They sound good without having a real high cost but was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Also my tank is 30"w with a 2" brace bar in the middle. What is more ideal--one fixture or one on each side of the brace bar?

two fixtures high enough/low enough that the optics cut the beam of light under the beam so you dont get any shadowing.
