Since I'm new at SW hobby i have a question. I have 65 gal not drilled tank. In stand i have no room for sump or maybe for a 8 gal one witch i dont see a pont for sump that small.
If i used for example Tunze comline 3163 filter with 475 gal/h flow, filled with cemi pure elite and gfo would that cower the need for filtration?
For skimmer i was planning to go with Tunze 9012 or 9012dc model rated up to 317 or 370 gal tank or maybe 9004dc model rated for 80gal.
In future my plans are to add some sort of chaeto reactor.
In tank i have 55 lbs of live rock and 22 lbs of live sand.
Plan is to add some corrals and fish in.
Would technology stated above be sufficient for healthy reef tank?
Ty for help.

Sure it can work. A sump is just a place for filtering and all the equipment that goes with it. It also provides for some additional flow and aeration. If you dont have enough filtering, water changes can make up the difference. Lack of flow, add a power head. need some aeration, point it so it disturbs the surface.

All you need for healthy filtration is flow and live rock imo. Just make sure you keep up on water changes every week for the first few months! All the extra equipment dose make life easier and you can always add it in later on.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
