So ive finished my httm and all fish are ok. No signs of ich or velvet, carried on doing the transfers to clean sterile tubs anyway and now at day 20. Done 4 h202 baths as wasnt sure if i reached correct levels on the first 1 and done an extra to see if it would stop the twitching incase parasite. So ive now dosed gc at 38l for 1 packet. Fish were in it for 26hrs and transfered to a new tub. Ever since the gc. Upon putting food in, the flame would come out of his pvc pipe. Swim towards the food ( same food as pre gc and was scoffing it) then its whole body would shake for a second and act as if he is choking with rapid movement of lips. Then it stops and just swims around, up to the food then turn away. Fish has never shown any flashing or scratching. No head twitches or yawning. Any ideas? I braught some live brine today and added and ate 1 bit then just would swim up interested to other bits but turn away. Pics attached are after the h202 bath last night and on transferring. Video is jist before the bath when i added some food. Foxface is a little off food but others eating like pigs. No spots visible. Could this just be neaurological from all the transfers and the fish just need to get into a dt and left alone?

Note the water isnt murky its just the plastic tubs i use and pumpung 400l/hr air into the tank 20231031_214807.jpg 20231031_215217.jpg 20231031_215228.jpg 20231031_215233.jpg 20231031_215238.jpg 20231031_215445.jpg 20231031_222016.jpg 16988603245342070262515261817846.jpg

The behavior described suggest flukes. Signs are darting, yawning effect, shaking head, refusal to eat and hiding as examples
Treatment would be prazi pro for 8 day period ( one application), water change and one more dose lasting 8 days

Hi mate. It only does it the once when food is added. No other time. If was flukes wouldnt it do it all the time? Like today sat and watched them for over an hour and none of them flash scratch etc. Ive dosed general cure 2nd time now. I did have orazipro but the solution has turned pink so has gone off even though still in date. Hard to get it in the uk also

You can add prazi as precautionary measure but may be habitual rather than disease

Its had its prazi in gc twice now aswell as the h202 baths. Would you conclude that this isnt parasitic and neurological and would fare better in dt where it can settle and not handled every few days.

I looked at the video a bunch of times - one possibility is, in addition to the cloudiness of the water I mentioned via PM. there are a lot of particulates. The head shaking is a common response to flukes, but ALSO what a fish perceives as flukes. It could be getting mucus caught in its gills and then is shaking its head to try and clear that.

Thats a very good possibility that. Sadly in our gamma packs in the uk there is also alot of gunk/crap which gets caight as i feed which would be why the fish twitches like that only at the addition of food. I put live food in today and although only ate 1 brine shrimp no twitching. Ill finish this gc 24hr then get into the dt. As i said it only twitches when coming up to food and no other times. The foxface also has never slimed in qt which i guess shows its skin isnt getting irritated. Water isnt cloudy its just the plastic tub isnt as clear as glass

Just checking you aren't adding any of those "bandage in a bottle" products? Artificial slime coats, etc., can all clog a fish's gills.

No nothing. Just 100% new water in between transfers, tub is sterlised also heater. I have 4 sets so each 1 is left to dry for a week. Tub is polycarbonate so shouldnt be leaching anything
