I recently got an Aquaticlife T5 fixture marine model, I want to use it for freshwater, so I'd like to sell these new bulbs for cost (minus shipping/tax) to purchase 6K bulb and roseate bulbs...or I would be willing to trade for these bulbs as long as they are brand new also...

OR, do you think it would be OK to use these for freshwater...too much algae growth ya think? I know folks use the marine bulbs on planted tanks...

BTW, Pet Palace has the Aquaticlife T5 fixtures for same as online prices...

10K bulb - $23
420/460NM - $24

What are the fish? I've used marine bulbs on a victorian tank. It went fine, til the bulbs got old and the usual green hard algae grew on the glass.

Just going to be a small fish community tank...may go planted at some point...the actinic is just too blue for freshwater (probably OK on an African tank), bet it makes the fish colors pop though...
