To me they look like to separate skeletons, correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe a pic from the other side.

They're two separate skeletons correct, but if you look closely at the bottom, they're fused together. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs when It's two colonies growing in close proximity and the skeleton grows together also known as a bone fuse.

My green and purple are fused as well. Only 2 heads purple and 12 or so green. Exactly how op described. Two different corals growing closely fused together.
