Good or bad algae?

Hi,
Got this out of my Fuge earlier. I've been pretty careful about what I've been starting my tank with so this is new to me.

IMO, the only "good" algae is the macro kind that you purposely put in your fuge. Or algae that you're growing in a scrubber.

It's good. The more diverse your algea population is the more efficient it is. Even the slime removes nutrients. Better for it to flourish in the sump than dt. But lots of folks display macros in the fuge so letting it grow may be a problem. Up to you. I'd let it grow and harvest it.
