Green algae covering my coraline

Hi all I have Green algae covering my coraline ; I thought once I had coralline that other algae could not grow on top, any insight would be great

Nope, it will grow all over it
That’s too bad., thought it wasn’t supposed to. Well I’ve started taking better care of my chaeto (harvesting it); and cut down feeding ; I’ve seen it weakened (the nuisance algae)

Not sure on your tank details but if your tank is light on the clean up crew side and this is a regular thing maybe time to add a few small additions. I like coraline so id be bummed too

I think same thing is happening in mine?? Tanks about 8 months old, could it be the start of new coralline or is it too much light and will fade off? I really want the purple stuff!! Any help would be appreciated? Should I try scrubbing it off with a toothbrush?

Or am I over feeding 10 fish with one cube twice a day?
