It's releasing alot of zoo. It's webbed up all over the rock behind it. What indicates its death for sure? What does this picture tell you?

The release of zooanthelle can be many things.
To me it is still looking good, maybe just making an adjustment to chemistry change

How long have you had it?

How long has your tank been set up?

What lights was it under? What lights is it under now?

I've had it for a little more than a week. Tanks close to a year. I bought it from petco so what ever they use. I have it under a 6 bulb t5 fixture 234w.

Are you acclimating it to your lights?
I have always used window screening, supported by egg crate, using 3 layers, and removing a layer every 5-7 days.

No I just through it in there. It looks good as new now. I'm just going to leave it alone

Keep an eye on it --- there was most likely a big increase in the light. Hence the reason it is expelling its zoax, there is a chance that it could end up bleaching.

Would there be something I can do to prevent the bleaching? Or what should I do if it dose?
