It happened again! Pinky's spirit lives on.

After enough observation for me to feel comfortable that all 6 Blackcaps were ready for the acclimation box, I started collecting them from the QT tank. Well that's weird I can only find 5 after removing the PVC pipes. I checked all around the tank thinking it went carpet surfing somehow through a crack in the lid, but no sign. Well through the process of elimination there was only one place left, the rear chambers. Took everything out and was able to spot it, way deep in the L shaped biggest chamber. No possible way to get it out without draining it (or printing another patented Pinky trap), luckily it was a 15 gallon QT tank this time and not a 50 gallon display.

All 6 are now in the acclimation box, recovering from the stress of relocation by hiding and puffing up at me when I check on them (basslets are so dramatic).

They're a little too comfortable with their acclimation box. I lowered it this morning before the lights came on, and they're still just chilling.

Some new additions. These Oregon torts from AquaSD are the bluest I've ever seen, plus a unique blue encrusting montipora.

Thinking about filling these two areas with some new corals, I heard there's a battlecorals sale going on... :astonished-face:

Too bad that doesn't slope the other way. You could have got some red/orange corals to be the fire coming out of the dragon's mouth.

Look who popped out for a few seconds today. I've found where 5 of them are hiding, the 6th is a professional.

Notice anything different?

All the coralline algae on the back wall came off in a giant sheet last night. Luckily it was so light it didn't break any of the SPS it landed on. Was weird to pull it out as a giant sheet.

My BattleBox arrived, but with a slight mistake. Adam didn't have to, but is fixing it anyway. He's the best, and he'll have customers for life.

Here's a preview of the Sniper's Blue and Space Ghost for the two last big rows of 8+ frags.

Found spots for the "extra" frags I wasn't planning for.

The blackcaps are getting braver, sometimes even swimming in the water column outside of feeding time. They're all staying pretty clustered together still on the right side. It's so hard to capture the really subtle violet patterns on their fins.

The rest of the Sniper's Blue and Space Ghost have arrived. That'll complete my plans for the middle rock's SPS.
