I was referring to Acan Lords but I assume the two species will be similar! I meant one section for each species of Zoa / Mushroom.
yes meat corals are an entirely different game with a very similar name! Glad that’s sorted out. Have any zoas/ shrooms in mind? I can definitely vouch for utter chaos, vamps in drag, mandarin oranges, scrambled eggs, and armor of gods. The orange/pink and blue rhodactis shrooms or the iron man shrooms are my faves.

IMO, you’re missing out by not adding cloves, they’re one of my favorites and somehow I forgot to mention them! Under blues and labeled under whites.

GSP will take over if your water parameters are such that it thrives. It is possible to stall it, harm it, and it will fade. In any case it is a great coral but as already noted if you don't want it taking over isolate to its own area. It will still grow out like a branch but in this case you can trim / frag it and you are fine.

Kenya trees are just as invasive. They will drop branches, they will float around, and if left unchecked attach. I've had them attach over night to a snail's shell. That quick. As they grow they can be managed by using forceps, curved, gloving up, and reaching in, clamping on the base/stalk as close to the rock as possible, and gently tugging / pulling left to right. It should come off clean. If any is left behind it will grow back. So if that happens you can just get a small dab of reef safe epoxy and past over it. No more. The key to Kenya tree though is to place it, manage the branches it drops, and you will be fine.

I live in Asia, not the US, so I can only wish WWC, Tidal Gardens etc. were available to me. Bummer. I can watch their videos (with a VPN) but I can’t buy anything from them.

I have made yet another revised list of corals, this time with colors and placement:

Phase 1- Soft Corals only (13 frags):

x4 Zoanthids (Middle to Top)

-Green

-Yellow

-Green and Orange

-Pink and Purple

x2 Discosoma Mushrooms (All)

-Blood Orange

-Green Striped

x2 Rhodactis Mushrooms (Bottom)

-Mussoides (Green and Brown)

-Indosinensis (Green)

x1 Florida Ricordea Mushroom (any color) (Bottom)

x1 Toadstool Leather (any color) (All)

x1 Finger Leather (any color) (All)

x1 Branching Green Star Polyps (Green) (Middle)

x1 Blue Clove Polyps (Blue) (Middle to Top)

(Wait 3-4 months)

LPS Batch 1-

x1 Bubble Coral (P. Sinuosa) White- Bottom

x1 Crystal Brain Coral (Cynarina Lacrymalis) Green- Bottom

x1 Favites Moon Brain Coral (Favites spp.) Purple and Green- Bottom

x1 Branching Frogspawn Coral (Euphyllia Paradivisa) Green- Bottom to Middle

x1 Trumpet Coral (Caulastrea Curvata) Green- All

x1 Candy Cane Coral (Caulastrea Furcata) Purple and Green- All

x1 Australian Duncan Coral (Duncanopsammia Axifuga) Green, Pink and Purple- Bottom to Middle

LPS Batch 2 (7-8 months)

x1 Australian Button Coral (Scolymia Australis) Rainbow Color- Bottom

x1 Cat’s Eye Acanthophyllia Brain Coral (Acanthophyllia Deshayesiana) Orange, Blue, Brown- Bottom

x1 Tongue Coral (Polyphyllia spp.) Green or Brown- Bottom

x1 Green Scroll Coral (Turbinaria Peltata) Green- Bottom to Middle

x1 Blastomussa Pineapple Brain Coral (Blastomussa Wellsi) Blue, Green, Red- Bottom

LPS Batch 3 (1 year):

x1 Australian Elegance Coral (Cataphyllia Jardinei) Green, Blue, Purple- Bottom to Middle

x1 Lobed Brain Coral (Lobophyllia Hemprichii) Green, Blue, Orange- Bottom

x1 Lord Howe Donut Coral (Acanthastrea Lordhowensis) Purple, Red- Bottom

x1 Maze Brain Coral (Platygyra spp.) Green, Purple- Bottom

x1 Alveopora Flower Pot Coral (Alveopora spp.) Green- Bottom

For a total of 30 frags to start with for the first year.

I’ve got a couple more questions:

1. How does this timing look? The gap is to make sure I can keep one batch of corals well before moving to the next.

2. Any potential squabbles between the corals?

3. The corals whose placement says something- something (All, Bottom to Middle, Middle to Top), what’s the best placement for them?

-Candy Cane (LPS) All

-Trumpet (LPS) All

-Branching Frogspawn (LPS) Bottom to Middle

-Toadstool Leather (Soft) All

-Finger Leather (Soft) All

-Zoanthids (Soft) Middle to Top

-Turbinaria (LPS) Bottom to Middle

-Elegance Coral (LPS) Bottom to Middle

-Duncan Coral (LPS) Bottom to Middle

-Blue Clove Polyps (Soft) Middle to Top

-Actinodiscus Mushrooms (Soft) All

All info from LA.

Do you think I’m all set with this list of corals? If not, would love to know what other changes I can make. Thanks!

Your list looks fine. The only comment is that I think you're waiting a bit too long in between batches. If you were doing SPS...yes, I'd say wait a while and let the tank mature with stable parameters before going into SPS, but LPS are much more forgiving and if you're doing well and keeping that first batch alive and thriving after the first 3 or 4 months I'd go ahead with the rest. Stability is the key...once you're able to maintain stable water parameters, and you're watching those LPS corals from the first batch growing, you're ready for the rest.
