I purchased some Hanna Alkalinity Reagent online and the expiration date was within 6 months. This seems a bit short to me. Did I get ripped off?

I understand that the reagent tends to degrade over time, but how hard and fast is the rule "don't use expired reagents" when it comes to alk reagent?

Any reasonable company should reimburse you.

I personally wouldn't trust results, whether they're good or bad. Hanna's variance range is already too large imo, and to add another insult is not good

Are you saying it was only 6 months and you bought it from hanna, or did you buy it from a reseller who sold you something that might be closer to expiration?
