Has anyone attached an LED strip to a 2040 aluminum profile?

I have ReeFi lights floating on a 2040 aluminum bar. I'd like to supplement a Reefbrite bar but I'm struggling to figure out what exactly I would need to attach it to the side of the 2040. Ideally, I'd like to have it jut out at a 45-degree angle to help with SPS shadowing.
