Just wanted to thank you all for the help! Next dayed some neonitro from Amazon and dosed for a few days until I had a stable nitrate level of 5ppm. Everything is nice and opened up even my tempermental acan!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
