Hi all, happy new year and 2022 reefing !!

Tank is 12mo in and thriving - fluv evo 13.5 and really come to life in a year. Corals growing, great colors, fish getting along quite well!

Over the past few months, I've been seeing much faster and more growth of a green hair-y algae. Not the prettiest but I do know this is the tank coming to life.

Have been clipping w scissors and removing from tank every few days, but comes back quickly.

Wanted to see any suggestions on specific inverts for a SMALL TANK :) that wouldn't add x ton of bio load to the tank but would primarily go for eating this green stuff. Used to have a few emerald crabs several months back but none now.

Have reduced feeding and lights over the last week to try to control the source - however, id like to see if it's possible to add another interesting little creature to the mix. I really appreciate anyone's thoughts here !!

Corals - pocilliopora, styro, acro, monti, hammer, frog, toadstool leathers, GSPs

Fish - maroon lightning clown, orchid dottyback, yellow watchman goby, Ruby red dragonet

CUC - bunch of mini cerith, 5 nassirius, one nerite, Halloween hermit, 4 scarlet leg hermit, 4-5 other random small hermit

Run phosgard, chemipure blue, purigen in filter w inTank trays

Tank params 76.5°-77.5° , 8.2-8.45ph, 430calc, 9.5dKh (down from running historically at 11), phosphate nearly undetectable but nitrate can run regularly 10-15ppm ...

A rock urchin would take care of it, or a turbo snail. You may need to supplement their diet with nori sheets after they clean it up.
