I have a 75 gallon tank with sump, approximate 85 gallons total. Since the warm weather hit, my PH has elevated substantially. I was dosing kalkwasser at a rate of 1ml/min 24/7 along with 25ml each of ESV B-ionic alk and cal. Alk was around 9.3-9.4 and PH 8.14-8.30 swing. Since PH elevated, it has been upwards of 8.3-8.46 swing. I dropped the kalk down too .5ml/min and I’ve also had to increase ESV up to 35ml each since alk dropped down to 8.9dkh. It was not staying stable with 35ml and I again bumped it to 45ml. It tested 9.0 today from 9.1 yesterday and I’m wondering if the higher PH is causing the increased calcium consumption, or if I could be precipitating? I don’t see any evidence of precipitation but could this be an indication and I’m missing it somewhere?
