Also, Banggai Cards spawned. One day just saw the babies (who did not make it) tried to get them out and failed. Need a plan for the next time. Bad pics but they were tiny and in back of rockwork.
And to share headaches as well, I’m in (hopefully) the tail end of a cyano outbreak. It’s been 2 plus months.
Also I lost almost all of my high end torches. They just started losing one head at a time for like 3 weeks. I tried lowering flow, moving some, feeding them. Nothing worked.
I put a camera on them to see if it was a pest, but 3 weeks of watching I saw nothing.
Painful when almost all of the corals are thriving and your favorite ones are dying.
Fairly certain I solved the mystery of the torch loss (and many zoanthids)
Lost 2 colonies of zoanthids back to back nights this week.
On Sunday I saw the biggest fireworm ever chomping on my Rasta Zoas. Wanted to get him so bad I didn’t take a pic, but he was 6 inches long and an inch thick easily. Mammoth.
I had them from my live rock and have picked them out w/ tweezers every so often while they tried to eat corals. This guy was orders of magnitude bigger than the other ones - here is a pic of a smaller one.
