But after ramping up lights I started to grow some algae and one side of the tank looks like this:

And the other side looks like that:

Hope that this will settle down overtime

Knowing myself wanted to make skimmer maintenance as easy as possible on me! So I added a swabbie to the skimmer - modified to include a float switch.
Two other things I think doing in the long run:
1) Directly drain skimmate to a drain
2) Run the AWC through the cup to keep it clean

Anybody did that? Worththe hassle?

Shipment arrived this morning way before 10:30am. Probably a benefit of being a major FedEx hub.

The shipment was nicely packed. 4 heating elements. Bagged fish were in a black bag and the fish on its own were tripple bagged.

Could sample water from one of the out bags. SG matched my tank. So I just floated the bags for 30 min and than emptied the bags one by one of a fish net and added fish directly to the tank. Nice the TSM has a 30 day quarantine process in place.

Fish are happily scouting around the tank but are a little skittish if someone is directly in front of the tank. Hopefully they will settle in quickly and I can share some good pics.

Thank you so much. I’m very happy with the shipment. While we have a few LFS in Indianapolis with good fish selection having the option of local pre quarantined fish is something that gives me envy.....

Haven’t updated this thread recently so here are some updates:

The tank I have has two center braces and I had trouble arranging the 8 XR15 over the tank that each of the 3 section get equal light distribution. So I had to bite the bullet and had to add more lights. While originally I wanted to add additional XR15 ended up adding 2 used xr30 pro gen 4 for the middle section....mind you - this was before the XR30 gen5 were announced - could have saved couple of hundreds just waiting a few weeks - ces’t la vie I guess....

Running the lights know at 60% and achieve ~320par at the top of the rock structures and 120-180 par at the bottom of the tank during peak hours

My RFA moved a little, first time I could get a shoot during blue hour (light change from 14K to 18K to deep blue the last 1 1/2 hours of lights on) almost in its full glory..... Really like the red orange tentacles with the green inner disc....

ill be getting all my fish from TSM within the next month. SG 1.026 correct?
Nice - all your fish what’s the stocking list?
I measured at 1.025 SG and 34PPT. Form my experience 35PPT gives me 1.026 SG so it’s very close. Please don’t assume and test for yourself as we all work with a relative large margin of systemic inter operator error!!

well I meant my total of all fish over the next few months, not all on first order. think 2 clowns, royal gramma, 8 wrasses, thinking 3 yellow tangs and a powder blue tang.
