Most of the 40g breeder sumps I've seen are 20 long. This is 10 gallon. I was going to fill that empty space with chaeto, but I plan to have a lot of macroalgae in the tank, so I might not need or want a refugium that small(?) It's only about 2g or less. What else could I put in that space?

Bio balls or a marine pure block also perhaps a small reactor?
