How much water ro water can you top off at once?

In my 55 gallon i top off with 1-3 cups of ro water every 30 minutes to an hour. Is this too much to add at once or could I add more?

I mean 1) that seems like an abnormal amount of water loss but 2) just get an ATO, save yourself a lot of time and head ache 3) adding 2 cups to top off 55 gallon is not too big of a swing imo.

I would get a ato. It will make your life so much easier. Also 2-3 and hour seems abnormal.

I Don’t do it every day, I just do it every week or two when the water gets too low.

My water is really low because I’ve been gone for a while

So 3 gallons a day? That seems like a lot for a 55. Do you have a dehumidifier running by your tank or something? I'd get an ato.

Ohhhh, so you're saying it's a couple gallons low, you're trying to slowly bring it back to normal by adding 3 cups per hour? Ya, that's an ok pace.

Just today I’m doing it until the water gets back to normal, I don’t top it off every day.

You need to maintain your salinity at closely optimum levels. Get yourself some kind of ATO, even if it is a simple gravity fed bottle. Your livestock will thank you.
