How old does a male clown need to be to breed?

I was thinking of splitting up my pair of picassos and pairing them with older, bigger onyx clowns.

I have another pair of picassos that I won't split because they have been together for well over a year. The other pair is very young still.

Rev, IME its not necessarily based on age as much as size (some clowns grow faster than others). I've seen males as small as 1.5" ready to rock.

Now I need a couple nice onyx clowns that are of a good age.

i have had my true percs paired for 3 years already and they havent spawned yet. i think its cause i dont have anything to host them. Also depends on your conditions.
