Both of these corals have been growing at a crazy rate in my new tank. They're getting to the point they've "filled in" their readily available area. Will these sort of corals keep growing onto the rocks themselves like zoas will? I've always assumed they don't. But how do people get giant colonies like this?

Theyll keep growing from the central stalk of the skeleton so if they're running out of room it may be time to consider fragging. Its a good problem to have.

I had a candy cane colony that formed around the rocks. I'd stuck a single head into a hold in my rockwork and it had to grow out of the hole.

My candy canes are doing the same thing. They keep growing heads but no new skeleton. Pics are when I got them versus now. Been about 5 months of growth.
