How to lower dkh in saltwater

I have been trying to lower kh in my tank it’s reading 17 with api test I used a buffer mistakenly and tap but I am now using a RO/DI system how do you lower it please help

I think your problem is one of invalid testing; no salt mix produces that high of a reading if you add in the correct amount per volume of water. If you have a LFS that does water testing, I would start there.

If for some unusual reason your dkh really is that high, begin partial water changes using a salt with lower values until you reach desired parameters.
