Awesome! I just started a sump and looking at getting some chaeto myself. I knew it grew fast but not that fast!

I currently have about 4 strains of red macro algae that have been in the sump for a few weeks and showing slow growth.

Yeah with good condition it will double in size within 2 weeks!

Months… feels like eternity… I’m going to guess 10 months!
Glad you made it through to the other side. If other people run into this, I believe that GAC (perhaps frequent changes) can greatly shorten this process.
