ok so these are my test from today before i added the dr tims one and only
9/10/2023
NITRITE: 0
AMMONIA: 0
NITRATE: 20
PH: 8
SALT: 1.005
ADDED DR TIMS
SWAPPED LIVE ROCK OUT FOR NEW
im still feeding the tank salt water with my ATO to bring my levels back up but im wondering if the low salinity is going to mess with the dr tims one and only bacteria

Looks a lot better with that Sponge Bob bottle as opposed to that water bottle you had previously.

I have no idea like I said I'm new to this
I'm sorry, but use some common sense... others have already told you how to raise it... 2 choices - add salt mix (dry ) to the tank and let it mix up, or mix up some saltwater and replace what you have, either a full water change with 1.026 or a partial with higher salinity so the resulting tank water is 1.026.

When I calibrate my refractometer is it crucial that room I do it in is 68 degrees
Most saltwater refractometers are calibrated to 77 degrees or have built in temp correction

Add the salt directly to the tank. That’s how most people do it on their initial fill.

DO NOT ADD UNDISSOLVED SALT TO A TANK WITH LIVE ORGANISMS!!!

Better yet, just change water or add saltwater to the top off until you reach your goal salinity.

Ya just dump in and let your powerheads swirl it around until you get it where you want it. If just fish anything from 1.022 to 1.026 will do. If corals 1.024 to 1.026
