I found a picture of my old roommate from the mid nineties when I lived on the Upper East Side. It is amazing how often I still think about him 25 years later.

Told Ya so.
You did. In fact, this past weekend was the six week mark since you made your prediction and it seems clear it is not dead. To think I considered tossing it. I usually do not pull skeletons as they just become part of what we call rock. This one was loose on the bare bottom and just looked ugly. Glad I listened, smart Lady.

Here is the updated progression

After the crash, the skeleton looked bare and then, the recovery began with signs of skin

Still some ways to go, but currently, the trend is our friend.

What a roller coaster brian... perseverance at its finest. 2 hips, a hooray, and raise your glass to the RETURN OF THE CAVE.
Thank you. You really made me think. It is hard for me to take the compliment. I will not bore everyone with the “Why?” like I usually do. I will say this though, I heartedly accept your raising of the glass. This is a return for the tank and it comes during my own return. I do infer you meant both.
Cheers!

You bet.

And thru the smoke, the Phoenix shall rise from the ashes. Anew.

Salute.

We are such geeks, Brian. I had 2 ferrets. The female Kimi, was a doll. Saige was an only partially neutered male an a jerk face. I wish I had never gotten him.

Anyway...yours was a cutey. How well was he potty trained? Was he affectionate?

He was full of love. I adopted him when he was about 2 years old. I litter trained him in two days. I was living in a studio apartment and he ran free like a cat. Every day for me was like four days for him. Eat, play, sleep. Repeat. He did not respond to verbal commands, but I developed a series of rudimentary commands over time based on snaps and claps. Things like “come over” and “hey, get out of that.” He was an incredible pet and friend.

My female was a baby when I got her. She loved to explore and was always getting into things making me freak out. Eternally a kitten. She loved to play, and wrestle and chase me. She was very cuddly. The male loved to rough house and was always trying to dominate every one. He bit and drew blood no matter what I did. And he would not potty train. He made the other one go backwards on training. I made several cool habitats for them. But I gave them away when I was expecting my first child. I knew the male would have bitten the baby. I probably could have kept the female but she was easy to rehome. She was sweet. I heard he was rehomed several times. :( They were the only pets I have not kept through their whole lives. I promised myself I would never again take on a pet that I could not keep through their whole life span.
