Unfortunately I am unable to provide a picture that would be useful here but I was looking at my rockwork and noticed these little white… strands maybe?they're about an 8th of an inch long and have tiny hairs coming off the sides of them. And they’re not pineapple sponges. (I’ve already had that one ID-ed for me).

It’s debatable, some people say they sting corals others don’t. If you ever want to try and remove them, I would suggest a banded shrimp they are very good at eating a similar species.

Can you retake under white light and for at least 20 seconds ?
Looks to me like poriferan sponge or tube worms.
