Hi! I have been slacking on my tank the last couple of months. I did a treatment for Cyano, then I left my skimmer offline for a few weeks because I didnt deal with the overflowing.
During this time a green kind of coarse green algae has spread throughout my tank.
I have treated my tank for bryopsis in the past and this isnt it. It also doesnt look like GHA, this is thicker, almost like its chaeto, but I dont have a refugium and never had.
Anyone recognize this strain of algae and best of action?
Thanks for any advice!

This is bryopsis and one of the, if not toughest to overcome
You will have to start by pulling all you can by hand and then VERY IMPORTANT- removing ALL the roots with either a dental pick or small crochet needle. As long as roots are imbedded, it will keep coming back.
flux (fluconasal) also works but can be harsh in some cases.
After cleaning it out, reduce white light intensity and add chitons, astrea and trochus snails to assist with control
