Thanks. You allways give this awesome advice ! Such knowledge!!No, they eat other things, but I believe each species has a different favorite. Like Epitonium billeeanum eats Tubeastra. Epitonium hartogi eats bubble corals.... But where yours eats zoas, it's probably all it eats. I have some readings on them and I'll get back to you and let you know with more certainty.
So......
Well, this one study was just "lovely" They were looking at growth rates of a few species when fed their natural prey verses when fed an unnatural prey under lab conditions. Even though they were smaller, they took the substitute food, so that means they don't mind straying off course. I bet they would eat their preferred food and then when they ran out, switch to "whatever". Guess what their "lab food" was.... aippies. How apropos.
