Ok, found these on the glass a day or two ago, I think they are Hydroids... But wanted a second opinion... So if anyone can confirm for me, it would be appreciated :) (my tank is new, just finished cycle a few weeks ago)

More of the colony (one like this on the front, and one on the back glass):

From my research:
- Hydroids are super common in new tanks, they have a bloom, then go away (normally)
- In some cases they stick around, and the result can be a giant pain (resulting in stinging jelly fish in the tank, and polyp stage taking over the rock).

So... If I'm right on the ID, anything that's good at eating these buggers? I'm considering my next couple livestock purchases, so if there is something particularly fond of eating these I'll consider adding it (if it fits in with the plan) ;)

Definitely interested in everyone's input/suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Yup, hydroids (medusae stage). There's no reason to do anything, they'll go. They're really only a pain in fry tanks or something like dwarf seahorses.
