They are on multiple snails, they have been here for a while but I just have been too lazy to ask

I just noticed. Its growing under the snails flesh! It looks like its some sort of clam with a mouth.

I'd say u correctly I'd them already. Bivalves.

Could this hurt my snail? Half of it is under the flesh

It may hurt the snail but I'm not sure you could get it off without hurting the snail even more! Those little suckers really glue themselves in place.
