Question: I was at someone's house the other day and they had, what they called, a chalice that looked more like a plating montipora or a scroll / cup coral. I always thought chalices encrusted on what they were attached to but didnt plate. I am wrong? I love the look of plating corals...and i love the colors of chalices..just dont know if it is a wrong investment if I am going for plating. Thoughts?

i'm sure that if you give it enough flow, most chalices that plates will encrust.
